Love blooms late

His name is John, and her name was Sharon.
They're in their early 70s (or so I think).
Their sons went to the same church.
Their spouses went to the same church too.
That's how they met.
Sharon's husband died in 1997,
and John's wife died in 1999.
They were together since.

We met them when we're drinking at Marriot.
If we didn't have a chat with them,
we wouldn't know about all that.
They looked like an ordinary old couple
who were married for ages.
John is a charming old man.
He's funny and has a laughter that'll bring more laughter.
Sharon seems a little quiet though.
But they're both very pleasant to talk to.
It's nice telling them about Malaysia,
'cause they've never been there and
have very little knowledge about Tanah airku.
Imagine, John thought Aung San Suu Kyi is a Malaysian,
and he's never heard of Mahathir.

Well, I just thought it was really nice to meet a couple like that.
Their encounter with each other was like what we see on TV.
It was really sweet.
Single people out there... there's great hope ahead.
You'll find the love of your life.
If you're thinking that no one in this world was meant for you,
don't give up until you're 60,
your love blooms a 'lil late, that's all.
*blink blink*
